PDF Toolkit processes your PDF files entirely on your device. Your documents are never uploaded to a server, and we do not require an internet connection or an account to use the app. We don't have access to the files you edit — we couldn't see them even if we wanted to.

PDF Toolkit is built to work completely offline. Every operation — merging, splitting, compressing, deleting pages, reordering, and rotating — runs entirely on your device, using your phone's own processor. Your files are never uploaded to a server, ours or anyone else's, at any point during this processing.
This matters because many PDF tools apps quietly send your documents to a remote server to do the actual work, even when they're marketed as offline. If your PDFs contain contracts, medical records, ID scans, or other sensitive material, that upload is a real privacy exposure. PDF Toolkit never asks for an internet connection to do its job, because it simply doesn't need one.
Password-protected PDFs are handled the same way: the password you enter is used locally to unlock the file for editing and is not transmitted or stored by us.
PDF Toolkit uses Android's built-in file picker for every operation. You choose exactly which file or files the app can read or write, using the same system picker you'd use in any other app. The app never requests broad storage access, because it doesn't need it — access is limited to the specific files you select.
For convenience, PDF Toolkit keeps a list of files you've recently worked with, so you can quickly open, locate, or delete them again. This list — including file names and locations — is stored only on your device. It is not sent to us or to any third party.
Because PDF Toolkit doesn't use accounts, servers, or cloud storage, we do not collect, receive, or have access to:
The app does not require an internet connection to function, and no document data is transmitted anywhere during normal use.
The free version of PDF Toolkit may show a short ad as an option to unlock a one-time compression when a file exceeds the free size limit. Ads are served through a third-party advertising network, which may collect certain data (such as device identifiers or general usage data) according to its own privacy policy, independent of PDF Toolkit. Ads are never shown in, and have no access to, the content of your PDF files. PDF Toolkit Pro removes all ads.
PDF Toolkit requests only the permissions needed to open and save files you explicitly select through the system file picker. It does not request permission to access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or general device storage.
Since the app does not collect or transmit your document data, there is nothing of that kind for us to share, sell, or disclose to third parties. Any data collected by the third-party ad network described above (free version only) is governed by that network's own policy, not by us.
PDF Toolkit is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the app collects no personal data by design, this applies equally to users of any age.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
