Offline Notes — Simple, Private, and 100% Offline.
Last updated: July 19, 2026
The short version: Offline Notes does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal data. Your notes stay on your device, unless you personally choose to export them.
This Privacy Policy explains how Offline Notes ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use our application. We built Offline Notes around a simple principle: your notes belong to you, and only you. There are no accounts to create, no subscriptions, and no cloud servers monitoring your activity.
Offline Notes does not require registration or login, and we do not collect, view, or have access to:
All notes, checklists, labels, colors, and reminders you create are stored locally on your device's internal storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to back it up or export it yourself.
Offline Notes offers an optional feature to back up your notes locally or export them to a Google Drive folder of your own choosing:
Offline Notes requests only the minimum device permissions necessary for it to function, such as storage access for saving your notes and backups. We do not request permissions unrelated to the App's core functionality, and no permission is used to collect or transmit personal data off your device.
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Storage | Save notes, checklists, and local backups on your device |
| Notifications | Deliver reminders for tasks with due dates |
| Google Drive (optional) | Export/import backups to a folder you control, only if enabled |
Offline Notes does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party service the App can interact with is Google Drive, and only if you choose to enable that feature yourself.
Offline Notes does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the App does not collect data at all, it is safe for use by any age group with respect to data privacy.
Because your notes are stored locally on your device, their security depends largely on your device's own security settings (such as screen lock or encryption). We recommend enabling a device passcode and keeping your operating system up to date to protect your locally stored notes.
Since we never hold a copy of your data, you are always in full control of it. You can delete individual notes, clear all app data, or uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored information from your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App's features. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we don't collect contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
